If you made a typo or used the wrong email address when placing your order, do not worry. This is usually a simple issue to correct.
Why Your Email Address Matters
Your email address is used to deliver your order confirmation and licence details.
For Autodesk products, it is even more important because the licence is assigned directly to your Autodesk account. This means the email address used for your order should match the email address on your Autodesk account.
How to Request a Correction
If you entered the wrong email address, please open a ticket on our helpdesk and include:
- Your order number
- The incorrect email address used on the order
- The correct email address you would like us to update it to
Our team will review the order and update the email address where possible.
Microsoft Office and Windows Products
For Microsoft Office and Windows orders, correcting the email address is usually straightforward.
Once updated, your licence key and download instructions can be resent to the correct email address. Your product key itself normally stays the same.
Autodesk Products
For Autodesk products such as AutoCAD, Revit, Fusion 360, and Maya, the licence is linked to a specific Autodesk account.
If the wrong email address was used, the licence may need to be reassigned to the correct Autodesk account.
Before opening a ticket, make sure you have created an Autodesk account using the correct email address you want the licence assigned to.
Once the licence has been reassigned, sign out and back in to your Autodesk product or Autodesk account to refresh the licence status.

- You know the correct email address that should be used
- For Autodesk orders, you have already created an Autodesk account with the correct email address
