Renewing Your Software Licence

If your software licence is coming up for renewal, the process depends on the type of product you purchased.

For Autodesk products, renewal is normally done by placing a new order.
For Microsoft Office products, no renewal is needed because the licences are perpetual.

Renewing an Autodesk Licence

For Autodesk products such as AutoCAD, Revit, Fusion 360, and Maya, renewing your licence is usually very straightforward.

To renew:

1. Visit your regional GetRenewedTech website
2. Purchase the same Autodesk product you are currently using
3. Use the same email address your current Autodesk licence is assigned to

Using the same email address is important, as it helps ensure the renewal is assigned to the correct Autodesk account.

Once processed, the new licence will be assigned to your Autodesk account and should begin once your current licence ends, helping avoid any break in access.

If the renewed licence does not appear straight away in the software, sign out of the Autodesk application and then sign back in again to refresh the licence status.

Multi-Year Autodesk Licences

If you purchased a multi-year Autodesk licence, such as a 3-year term, Autodesk may sometimes display it as separate yearly periods rather than one continuous block.

This is normal. Your access should continue for the full purchased term without interruption.

Renewing Microsoft Office

Microsoft Office licences sold by GetRenewedTech are perpetual licences, which means they do not expire and do not need renewing.

Once activated, Office will continue to work on the licensed device without any annual renewal.

If you are seeing expiry messages in Office, this usually means:

• a Microsoft 365 subscription is signed in
• a trial or preview version is installed
• the wrong edition of Office is currently installed

In that case, the issue is with activation or installation rather than renewal.

Common Questions About Renewal

Do I need to reinstall Autodesk after renewing?

No. In most cases, the software stays installed. Once the new licence has been assigned, sign out and back in again if needed.

What if my Autodesk licence has already expired?

If your Autodesk licence has already expired, place a new order for the product you need. Once assigned, sign in again to your Autodesk account and the software should begin using the new licence.

I bought a renewal but the software still shows as expired

First, sign out of the Autodesk application completely and then sign back in again.

If it still does not update, please open a ticket on our helpdesk and include your order number.

Does Microsoft Office need renewing?

No. Microsoft Office licences from GetRenewedTech do not require renewal.
