The number of devices you can use your software on depends on the type of product you purchased. Microsoft Office and Autodesk licences work in different ways, so it is important to understand how each one is licensed.

Microsoft Office Licences

Most Microsoft Office perpetual licences sold by GetRenewedTech are single-device licences.

This means:

• The product key activates on one computer only
• Any user on that computer can use the Office apps, as the licence is tied to the device rather than an individual user profile
• If you want to use Office on a second computer, you will need a separate licence

Multi-Device Packages

Some Microsoft Office packages allow installation on more than one device, such as 5-device bundles.

If a product includes more than one device, this will be clearly stated on the product listing at the time of purchase.

If you exceed the activation limit for your licence, you may see an activation error. If that happens, please open a ticket on our helpdesk and include your order number so our team can assist.

Autodesk Licences

Autodesk products such as AutoCAD, Revit, Fusion 360, and Maya work differently from Microsoft Office.

Autodesk licences are tied to your Autodesk account, not to one specific computer.

This means:

• You can install the software on multiple computers
• However, you can only use the licence on one device at a time
• If you sign in on a second device, Autodesk may sign you out of the first one

This makes it possible to install Autodesk software on more than one machine, such as a home computer and a work computer, while still using the same assigned account.

To use Autodesk software on a new device, simply install it and sign in using the same Autodesk account. There is usually no need to contact support just to install it on another computer.
