How Long Does a License Last? (One-Time Purchase vs Subscription)

Microsoft Office Licences
All Microsoft Office licences we sell, including Office 2019, Office 2021, and Office 2024, are one-time purchases.

This means:

• You pay once and keep the licence permanently
• There is no recurring subscription fee
• The licence does not expire
• Microsoft continues to provide security updates during the supported lifecycle of the product

Windows Product Keys
Windows product keys, including Windows 10 and Windows 11 Pro, are also one-time purchases.

Once activated, the key is linked to your system and does not expire.

Autodesk Products
Autodesk products are provided for a fixed term. When purchasing, you choose the licence length offered for that product, usually 1 year or 3 years.

• 1-year licence — access for 12 months from the date the licence is assigned
• 3-year licence — access for 36 months from the date the licence is assigned

Once that period ends, the Autodesk licence will expire unless a new order is placed.

What Happens When an Autodesk Licence Expires?
When an Autodesk licence reaches the end of its term:

• The software may show a message such as expired or no active subscription
• You will no longer be able to use the software through that licence
• Your files and existing work are not deleted

If you would like to continue using the software, you will need to purchase a new licence.

Can You Renew Before It Expires?
Yes. If your Autodesk licence is close to expiring, please contact our support team through the helpdesk and we can assist with your next order so there is as little interruption as possible.
