Which Autodesk Version Should I Install? (2023, 2024, 2025 or 2026)

Overview
Your Autodesk licence from Get Renewed Tech gives you access to multiple versions of the software. For example, an AutoCAD licence may allow you to install several supported versions, such as 2023, 2024, 2025, and 2026. You can choose the version that best suits your computer, workflow, and compatibility needs.

Which Version Should You Choose?

Choose the latest version if you want:

  • The newest features and interface updates
  • The best long-term support
  • The most up-to-date performance and security improvements

This is usually the best option if your computer meets the system requirements and you do not need compatibility with older setups.

Choose a previous version if you want:

  • Broader compatibility with existing projects
  • A version that may feel more familiar
  • To avoid moving to the newest release straight away

This can be a good option if you prefer a more established version or work with others using an earlier release.

Choose an older version if you need:

  • Compatibility with an older computer or operating system
  • A specific version required by a client, colleague, or existing workflow
  • To match software already in use elsewhere in your business

Can You Install More Than One Version?
Yes. In many cases, you can install multiple versions side by side on the same computer. For example, you may be able to have both AutoCAD 2025 and AutoCAD 2026 installed at the same time. This is useful if different projects require different versions.

How to Install Your Chosen Version

  • Go to https://manage.autodesk.com/products
  • Sign in with the email address your licence is assigned to
  • Open Products and Services
  • Find your product in the list
  • Select the version you want from the available options
  • Click Install and follow the on-screen steps

System Requirements
Newer versions may require a more recent operating system. If you are unsure whether your computer can run a specific version, check Autodesk’s system requirements for that product before installing.

A few things to keep in mind:

  • Newer versions usually require newer versions of Windows
  • macOS versions are available for some Autodesk products, such as AutoCAD, but not all Autodesk software supports Mac
  • Older computers or operating systems may work better with an earlier release

Our Recommendation
For most users, the latest available version is the best choice. It usually includes the newest features, improvements, and updates. If you run into compatibility issues, you can often install an older version alongside it instead.
