What Does Ex-Educational Mean?
The Autodesk licences we sell are ex-educational licences. This means the licence was originally assigned to an educational institution and has been reassigned for resale.
What Do You Get?
An ex-educational Autodesk licence gives you:
- Full access to the software — all features and tools are available
- No watermarks on any output or files you create
- The licence is assigned directly to your Autodesk account
- You download the software from the official Autodesk website
Is Eligibility Checked?
Eligibility is not checked by GetRenewedTech or Autodesk. You do not need to be a student or affiliated with an educational institution to use the licence. The majority of our customers are not students.
Will My Software Show as 'Student' or 'Non-Commercial'?
Your Autodesk account may show the licence type as educational or non-commercial. This does not affect the functionality of the software in any way. All features work identically and there are no watermarks.
Why Are These Licences Cheaper Than Buying Direct from Autodesk?
Because the licences originated as educational licences, they are available at a significantly lower price than purchasing a commercial licence directly from Autodesk. The software and features you receive are identical.
Can the Licence Be Removed?
In rare cases, if a customer contacts Autodesk support and explicitly states that the licence is being used for commercial purposes, Autodesk may remove the licence. To avoid this, we recommend not discussing licence type with Autodesk support. If a licence is ever removed for this reason, please contact us and we will reassign or refund it.
