How to Activate Office Using Telephone Activation (done)

Telephone activation is an alternative way to activate Microsoft Office when standard online activation does not work. Despite the name, you do not need to make a phone call, as the process can be completed entirely online using our activation tool.

When to Use Telephone Activation

You should use telephone activation if:

  • Online activation fails or shows an error
  • You see the message “To activate, use the automated phone system”
  • Your key is not being accepted through the standard activation screen
  • You have reinstalled Office on the same computer and online activation is being rejected

Step-by-Step Telephone Activation Guide

Step 1: Open the Activation Wizard

Open any Office application, such as Word or Excel.

Go to File > Account > Activate Product, or follow the activation prompt if it appears automatically.

If your product key has not already been entered, enter it first and then click Next.

Step 2: Select Telephone Activation

If online activation fails, look for the option that says:

  • Use the automated phone system
  • I want to activate the software by telephone

Select this option to continue.

Step 3: Note Your Installation ID

The activation wizard will display a long number called the Installation ID. This is usually shown in several groups.

Take a screenshot or carefully copy the full number, as you will need it for the next step.

Step 4: Get Your Confirmation ID

Go to the activation page here:

https://uk.getrenewedtech.com/activate

Enter your Installation ID into the tool, and it will generate a Confirmation ID for you.

Step 5: Enter the Confirmation ID

Return to the Office activation wizard.

Enter the Confirmation ID into the boxes provided, then click Activate.

If the details have been entered correctly, Office should now activate successfully.

Troubleshooting

The Confirmation ID Is Not Accepted

If the Confirmation ID is rejected, double-check that the Installation ID was entered correctly into the activation tool. Even one incorrect digit will generate the wrong Confirmation ID.

I Cannot See the Telephone Activation Option

Make sure you are in the activation wizard and not just on the normal account screen. In some cases, you may need to enter your product key first before the telephone activation option appears.

Activation Is Still Not Working
