Overview
If you need your Autodesk licence moved to a different email address, for example because you have changed your email, set up your Autodesk account with the wrong address, or need the licence reassigned, our support team can help.
Can I Do This Yourself?
No. Autodesk licences are linked to the Autodesk account they were originally assigned to. You cannot transfer or reassign the licence to a different email address yourself. This must be handled by our support team.
How to Request a Transfer
Please contact our support team through the helpdesk and include the following details:
- Your order number, if available
- The current email address the licence is assigned to
- The new email address you want the licence moved to
- The product name, such as AutoCAD 2024, Revit 2025, or AEC Collection
- The reason for the transfer
Providing this information helps us process the request more quickly.
What Happens Next
Once we receive your request:
- We will verify your identity and ownership of the licence
- We will arrange the reassignment process with Autodesk
- Once completed, the new email address will be able to access the licence
- We will confirm through the helpdesk once the transfer has been completed
How Long Does It Take?
Most licence transfers are completed within 1 to 3 business days, depending on Autodesk processing times.
Important Notes
- The new email address must have, or create, an Autodesk account in order to receive the licence
- Once transferred, the licence will no longer be accessible from the original email address
- If the licence is being reassigned to another person, they should make sure their Autodesk account is ready first
