This means:
- Only the person signed in to that Autodesk account can use the software
- The software can be installed on multiple computers
- However, only one active user can use the licence at a time
- If the same account is signed in on another device, Autodesk may sign the first session out
Can Multiple Users Share One Licence?
A single Autodesk licence is intended for one assigned user, not for multiple people using it at the same time.
While the software may be installed on more than one computer, the licence itself remains tied to one Autodesk account and one active user session at a time.
If more than one person needs to use Autodesk software at the same time, the correct solution is to purchase a separate licence for each user.
Best Setup for Teams
For teams or businesses, each user should have:
- Their own Autodesk account
- Their own assigned licence
- Their own email address linked to that Autodesk account
This helps avoid sign-in conflicts and makes licence management much easier.
Moving a Licence to a Different User
